Dartmoor Access for All

Dartmoor should be accessible for everyone to enjoy

Dartmoor should be accessible for everyone to enjoy, regardless of whether you are a top athlete, a family with small children or have impaired mobility or less physical ability than you would like.

There are trails that can be enjoyed in a wheelchair or on a Tramper, which are available to rent at locations like South West Mobility, Devon Cycle Hire and National Trust at Parke in Bovey Tracey.

Organisations such as Disabled Ramblers run a series of guided rambles for the less mobile in Dartmoor National Park, please read the feature article in Active Dartmoor magazine below.

As time goes on, this page will have contacts, information, links and specialised articles to help make sure that everyone knows they can come and enjoy the fresh air and stunning scenery that Dartmoor offers, regardless of how physically able they are.

We are working with Brian Seaman at Access New Business, (www.accessnewbusiness.co.uk) to raise awareness of the need for tourism businesses on Dartmoor to make sure that their facilities are accessible for all.
