Canonteign Falls is an award-winning tourist attraction nestled in the Teign Valley on the edge of Dartmoor.

Set in 90 acres of park and woodland, Canonteign is a must-see for Devon visitors, with walks and activities for all ages and abilities. From a gentle stroll around the lakes, to a bracing stomp through spectacular woods up to the top of the Falls, our beautiful corner of the countryside is perfect for enjoying the fresh air and having fun with the family.

90 original Victorian steps lead up through the Victorian fern garden to the top of the Falls itself, with soaring panoramic views available from many vantage points. Children can play safely in two different areas where a zip wire, pirate ship and trampolines await. During this time oneway systems will be in operation and social distancing regulations will be in place.

To prioritise visitor and staff safely Canonteign Kitchen, open 11 am – 4 pm, has a limited takeaway menu of local pre-packed food available to supplement your picnic. There is plentiful outdoor seating arranged at a social distance. Please adhere to 1 household group per table and only 1 member of the household group at the till point. The outdoor Snack Bar is open (10 am – 5 pm) for takeaway food, filter coffee, hot chocolate, ice cream, and refreshments.

So whether you want to soak up the sun on our terrace or hire a back-pack to take the little ones on a woodland adventure, we invite you to have a wonderful day with us. Finish the day with a browse in our charming gift shop which will now be accessed as you leave the falls. We welcome dogs on leads both inside and out. Visit our website for up and coming events.
