AboutCelebrate the Summer Solstice and Midsummer by walking through an ancient and ritual landscape on Dartmoor. Our intention is to engage and reconnect with the landscape - past, present, and future. And to share the ancient art of conversation and storytelling around a fire together on a starlit night.
We have chosen to walk through 8 stone circles, several stone rows, megaliths and monoliths on an auspicious day near the Summer Solstice as well as Midsummer. Let's gather to honour these places, the time of year, each other, and this wild and ancient landscape that has brought succour to thousands of men, women, children and animals throughout the centuries.
You are also invited to share a meal together and camp in the grounds of Gidleigh Village Hall the evening before we walk so that we are rested and ready for our walk together after breakfast in the morning.
DARTMOOR'S DAUGHTER creates walks and nature-connection experiences to enhance health, wellbeing and performance. All on the ancient, wild and beautiful land of Dartmoor. For more information and for a full calendar of events please visit www.dartmoorsdaughter.com.
