Totnes Rare Breeds Farm is a family owned attraction, which relies on the work of volunteers and the great support of its customers. It aims to preserve endangered species of farm animals and the diversity of British wildlife.
It is also a fantastic day out! Totnes Rare Breeds may be small, but it is the perfect size to provide a friendly and personal service for all ages.
Tucked away behind Totnes in the rolling Devon countryside, once you find the Rare Breeds Farm you won’t want to leave.
The rare breeds farm started life as a muddy field and a forest of brambles. In 2001, this little patch of wildernesswas taken in hand. After much vision and a tremendous amount of hard work, June 2002 say the opening of the Totnes Rare Breeds Farm to the public.
January 2015 saw a change in ownership when Samantha Adams, an employee for almost three years at the farm, took up the reins.
With a lifelong passion for animals; the support of her family, and a taste for adventure, Sam was willing to take on the enourmous challenge and responsibility of preserving this much loved tourist attraction.
With a fantastic team of volunteers to help her, the Totnes Rare Breeds Farm will continue to be a very special place and a joy for all ages.
Sam and her team look forward to seeing you soon in this little slice of heaven within the Devon countryside.
