The Royal Oak Inn is a free house situated within the Dartmoor National Park and is a former 15th-century church house Inn, taking its name from the, reputedly, 800 year old oak tree on the adjacent village green - one of the few remaining traditional pubs, with a flagstone floor, old beams and a large open fireplace. Some seats are pews from the adjacent St. Peters church. The wood fire provides a warm welcome on those cold winter evenings or in the summer you can enjoy a refreshing glass of Pimms on the patio tables outside.
The perfect Dartmoor hideaway for drinking & dining. The quality and freshness of our beer is as important to us as the quality and freshness of our food.
Home-cooked, quality local produce and tempting home-made desserts.
Try Sunday's traditional roast dinner - local Dartmoor beef or loin of local pork with homemade Yorkshire pudding and fresh seasonal vegetables.
