One of the most loved sights on Dartmoor is that of a herd of semi-wild ponies. There are herds of pedigree Dartmoor ponies, lots of Dartmoor hill ponies and Shetland ponies, all doing there bit to graze the moor.Easter is the perfect time to enjoy watching them, as the tiny foals are finding their feet and enjoying mad games racing around with each other!

There are lots of events happening over the Easter period too, Buckfast Abbey have a super programme of Family Drop-ins happening for the Under 14s and some great offers on in The Grange Restaurant too!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to try horse-riding on the moor? There are several wonderful Riding Stables on the moor, where you can explore Dartmoor from the back of a sure-footed and well trained horse or pony.
