What we lovingly refer to as “The Snug” is a comfortable spacious bed sitting room with the warmth and charm of an old cottage.
The “Snug” has two very comfortable adjustable single electric beds, two arm chairs, TV, DVD player and a selection of DVD’s. The en-suite bathroom has a 1240 mm right hand access walk-in bath with an electric overhead shower. Grab rails are situated around the WC, bath, and sink. An alternative walk in shower room (not wet room) is available close by in the main house. There is manual wheelchair access within “The Snug”. There is ample parking with level access to “The Snug” and parking for an electric wheelchair close by. Please note we do not offer nursing facilities or provide disability aids. The accommodation has its own conservatory that has views over the garden. Whilst accessible friendly “The Snug” is ideal for anyone looking to enjoy Devon and its beautiful coastline, countryside and moors.
Gratton Farm has views overlooking its own gardens and the farmland beyond. It is situated approximately one mile from the village of Northlew which has a main square, traditional thatched buildings, a pub, village shop, primary school, one church and one chapel.
A more comprehensive range of amenities can be found in the town of Okehampton, which offers a range of supermarkets, local and specialist shops, doctor’s surgery, dentists, cinema and hospital. The town has a modern leisure centre with swimming pool. We are only forty five minutes from Bude and it’s beaches. The Dartmoor National Park offers hundreds of square miles of superb unspoilt scenery. The A30 dual carriageway is easily accessible from Okehampton providing a direct link west in to Cornwall or east to the Cathedral and University City of Exeter.
