AboutAre you up for a challenge? Join our fantastic volunteers for a guided bike ride in Ivybridge that you won't forget.
Join Sustrans volunteers and PL21 Transition Town Initiative volunteers on a ride to discover some of South Hams beautiful coastline.
This is no ordinary cycle ride as you will need to bring flip flops and be prepared to ford a river!
We'll cycle along a tidal road and cross an estuary at low tide.
This circular ride starts in Ivybridge and we follow rural lanes passing through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and small hidden villages.
About the ride
The ride will follow National Route 28 and similar quiet roads to enjoy the countryside and coastline.
The distance is 25 miles and we'll stop for refreshments en route.
We will be crossing the estuary of the River Erme which involves fording the river and crossing a sand bar.
A short length of the route will also include an unmade road where walking may be necessary
