National Collection of Hostas Halcyon & Sports and National Collection of Agapanthus Pine Cottage Cultivars.
The gardens are in several acres of grounds adjacent to the nursery. See the evolving stumpery with tree fern and a rare fern border which has been newly planted this year.
The National Collection of Agapanthus hybrid cultivars will be on display for the first time in their own allocated garden at Bowdens. During June, July & August these towering sparklers should be showing at their best.
There will be giant hostas and ferns to see in the gardens showing how large these plants can grow at full maturity and a garden of giant bamboo. The garden has a pond and there are many showy perennials, shrubs, trees and bulbs to see.
Bamboo, agapanthus, ferns and hostas seen in the gardens can be purchased in the nursery.
All visitors are welcome to a free complimentary tea or coffee and there are cream teas throughout the day for a nominal price.
