The Dining Room at Buckfast Abbey Conference Centre is opening its doors to the general public for a very special 4 course meal at 7pm on Saturday 8th April. The Conference Dining Room wants to showcase the rich variety of local produce prepared in-house by their skilled staff. Ingredients will include Buckfast venison, rabbit and pigeon in the Game Terrine starter and lamb from the Abbey's own Blackmoor Farm whose produce is normally reserved for the community of monks. There will be vegetables from the monastic kitchen gardens, a sprinkling of tonic wine in the jus and honey from the Abbey's famous bee hives. NOTE: Booking is essential and if anyone is vegetarian can they mention at time of booking.
