A little spiel about who I am. I am a landscape photographer based in Plympton in Devon. I love getting out and walking with my camera, predominantly on the Cornwall and Devon coastline and also Dartmoor, in almost all weathers and often in the company of my partner and fellow landscape photographer Alan Howe in search of stunning landscapes. My interest in photography started a number of years ago when my son was little, and like any parent I snapped away with a little compact. This soon progressed into wanting to know more about photography. I bought an old second hand 35mm film Canon 100 SLR and this is where the journey began. I now use digital equipment with a Lee filter system, but I am by no means a techie, I like to keep things simple and I think this shows through in my style.
I'm a winner in the well known South West Coast Path Photographic Competition both in 2016 and 2017 and feature in their 2017 and 2018 calendars.
In November 2016 I was very pleased to be invited to take part in the Women in Photography Conference in Plymouth as a guest speaker representing females in the landscape photography genre.
I also give talks at camera clubs, run workshops both independently and with my partner, and over the years I've had a number of small publications, have held basic adult education photography courses for the Union USDAW around Cornwall, and am a photographic contributor to the Cornwall AONB 2016-2021 Management Plan.
