We could quite simply not have created this lovely website without an awful lot of generosity, kindness, hard work and dedication from a long list of people. Web designers, photographers, writers, artists, bloggers, letterboxes, business owners, activity providers, cooks, Dartmoor organisations, and dog mad people, we thank and salute you all!
As such, please find more information below:

Living on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, I am just a short distance from its 368 square miles of beautiful, rugged moorland. There are huge granite tors and meandering streams which are popular subjects for many landscape photographers. The best times to capture the magical views are usually at sunrise and sunset, although, before or after a storm can bring wonderful cloud formations as well. The weather can change really quickly which sometimes provides unbelievable light and colours.

I started taking photographs on film as a kid but I got my first DSLR 18 months ago after a long break from it. I used to think that cycling was the one and only hobby for me but since I got into landscape photography I am finding it hard to leave a camera at home when even on the bike. I think for me my immediate location has and still is my major inspiration living in Bovey Tracey. Dartmoor and Devon has almost an infinite number of places to capture and visit and I still have only captured a very small amount of what it has to offer. I could go elsewhere but perhaps your closest locations are by nature the most inspiring and meaningful?

There is such a sense of freedom on the moor I find it a great place for taking portraits as people soon forget themselves and find themselves leaping over rocks, splashing in streams and running hand in hand through the long grass. My intention is that when people look at the images they will recognise the quirky gestures, the individual expressions, the humour, the connections, the passion and the thoughtfulness that make them and those they love what they are. I then create 'wall art' from the images of 'The People You Love in The Places You Love’.
