Sticklepath is home to the National Trust’s Finch Foundry, and we strongly advise you to take half a day to visit probably the only working water-powered grinding workshop in this country.
Guided tours and informative talks take place throughout the day, and then there’s a beautiful little tea room in the round house on the lawns at the back.
Every year on 5th November the hugely popular and spectacular Sticklepath Fire Show takes place, followed by a fantastic firework display.
Famous among geologists for the Sticklepath Fault, the once busy industrial village used to be home to 200 Quakers, the Quaker Burial Ground at the back of the Foundry is well cared for still today.
