Map & Directions

Road Directions

Travelling south, after leaving the M5 and joining the A38, exit the A38 at Drumbridges (which is signposted for Newton Abbot, Bovey Tracey and Moretonhampstead), staying in the outside lane of the slip road, and take the third exit, signposted Liverton, Ilsington.

Travelling north, exit the A38 at Drumbridges (which is signposted for Newton Abbot, Bovey Tracey and Moretonhampstead), staying in the inside lane of the slip road, and take the first left hand exit, signposted Liverton, Ilsington.

Take the next right turn of Old Liverton Road. Continue on this straight road past The Star Inn on your right and across Cummings Cross and the Dartmoor National Park mark. You will go into country lane and then into Old Liverton.

The Village Hall will be on your right and the old pottery chimney on your left. You are nearly here.

You should slow down, take care and continue around the blind right hand bend and you will have Orchard House on your immediate right. Opposite this is Springfield on your left. (You will have driven along the side of the property). You should take the sharp left hand lane and immediately turn left onto the gravel parking area for Springfield.

Those of you with larger vehicles may take a couple of goes at the cornering!

Public Transport Directions

There are regular trains to Newton Abbot, the nearest station, which is about six miles away.
See www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk

There are buses to Drumbridges roundabout but you would need a taxi from there.
See www.stagecoachbus.com and www.nationalexpress.com

Local taxi numbers are Oakleigh Taxis 01626 821687; Bovey Cars 01626 834163; Newton Abbot Taxi Company 01626 818434.

The nearest international airport is Exeter (25 minute drive away). Further afield are Bristol International (1 hour 30 minutes) and Plymouth (45 minutes).
If you fly into London, then Gatwick is a drive of approximately 3 hours 50 minutes and Heathrow approximately 3 hours 30 minutes.
We would recommend that you hire a car locally from Exeter or Newton Abbot if you are not travelling here in one.
