Dog Friendly Accommodation on Dartmoor
Here at Visit Dartmoor we love our dogs! We understand very well the importance of being able to bring your canine companion with you when you head to Dartmoor for your holiday. Fortunately there are many fabulous places to stay all over the moor where you can do exactly that!
Whether you prefer the comforts of a luxury hotel, enjoy a great breakfast in a B&B, a stay on a farm or would rather look after yourselves in self catering accommodation, there is somewhere for you. Dartmoor is perfect for getting out into the wilderness, exploring the woodlands and rivers, and all of those things are so much more fun if your dog can be with you.
Please do be aware that there are times of the year when Dartmoor’s wildlife and livestock are especially sensitive, Spring and Summer are extremely important times to make sure that your dog is under extremely close control at all times. On most areas of open country and common land, dogs must be on leads between1st March and 15th July for the safety of ground nesting birds.
